Unfortunately as we have been unable to recruit the required kitchen staff to enable us to offer a seamless service, from the 10th December we will no longer be offering a small plates menu and will revert back to offering our cheese and charcuterie platters.
Table bookings are available in Thirty-One for both drinks and dining. Please make a note in special requests if you plan on ordering a platter.
A debit/credit card is required to secure your table in Thirty-One, however no payment is taken at the time of booking. You may incur a £10pp charge in the case of a late cancellation / no show.
Card details are stored in a secure payment gateway.
For Bottomless Brunch and Brunch & Cocktails bookings, please add this to the special requests box on your booking form along with any dietary requests.

About
Hey all, I’m Chef Kabby,
2by2 at Thirty-One
I have 30+ years’ experience in the hospitality industry, starting way back washing up plates at the Greyhound pub in Aldbury village, going on to being a sous-chef in the Glasshouse restaurant at the Grove Hotel, before running my own gastropub restaurant. In-between I was also a private chef to the Saudi royal family!
Creating tasty food is a passion for me, and although I moved away from being a full time chef during the pandemic, simply to enjoy more quality time with my wife and three children, I have remained in the industry on a part time basis, supporting Ashridge House events for four years, and I’m now in my second year working at Horwood House Hotel.
When Samy contacted me about a potential opportunity to run my own pop up restaurant at Thirty-One in Hemel Hempstead old town, I jumped at the opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to creating those tasty dishes for the town of Hemel. I will be offering a new menu every two weeks.

Starter
Tiger prawns with chorizo in herbed garlic butter, served with sourdough bread
Focaccia bruschetta topped with fresh tomato relish and basil oil (V)
Main
Large bubble & Squeak with poached duck eggs, smoked back bacon and hollandaise sauce

Followed by an after dinner palate cleanser of sorbet
To reserve your seat, simply book your table online and make a note in special requests whether you would like the standard or vegetarian option. A maximum of 30 covers available on each date. Bookings being taken from 6pm until 9pm.
